Practice Marketing Game

The McGraw-Hill Practice Marketing Game (PMG) is an interactive computer business simulation allowing PSE teams to compete head to head across the country.

Students play the role of a marketing decision-maker for a small backpack company. Choose a promising market segment and design a backpack with the goal of matching its style, attributes, and special features to the preferences of that market segment. The game includes a realistic marketplace in which you compete against other chapters. Analyze sales results, collect information on competitors, and refine your product, price, place and promotion strategies in order to maximize profits and become the market leader.

Teams will have eight weeks to prove that they have what it takes to be the best.  Each week, teams make new decisions and adjustments to their original plans. Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded to winners!

Team information must be submitted to Glenn Altstadt at PSE HQ via e-mail ( by Friday, September 15 by 11:59pm Central Time.

Following your e-mail to Glenn, you will receive a confirmation number as well as registration instructions.  You will need to take your confirmation number and register your team according to the instructions you will be given in order to participate in the simulation.

The official game will start Tuesday, September 26th and will run for 8 weeks.  Decisions are always due by Midnight on their deadline days, CST.
