OUR OPPORTUNITIES

As a Sales Engineer you will be responsible for proactively expanding our business with new and existing customers within your assigned sales territory. At KEYENCE, our direct-sales professionals work in a local, sales office two days a week and visit customers on-site three days a week to provide consultative, solution-based sales. You will be challenged to develop an understanding of our products, industry knowledge, and our business model through our extensive classroom training, mentorship, and continuous training and development opportunities. With dedicated corporate support and marketing groups to assist our sales force, we are in a unique position to rapidly expand our business together.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

Our people development policy is “Our people learn best by doing”.

We entrust the role and opportunities from entry level. We provide world-class training and on the job learning to do this.

Classroom Training:

  • Two training classes per year: January & June
  • 6-10 weeks at HQ in Chicago
  • Product Knowledge & Sales Skill Training
  • Absolutely no technical background required!

On-the-job Mentorship:

  • 3-6 months additional training in local sales office
  • Apply knowledge and skills from training to the field along seasoned sales mentor
  • Direct transition from classroom to outside sales role
  • CEO of your Territory within 1 year!

This is our career path and Area Product Sales Manager can be achieved as early as 3 years from your hire date. The Area Product Sales Manager is the first level of management and there are more management opportunities beyond this role.
