Q & A regarding the Pro-Am Sell-a-Thon at the PSE National Convention
Q. Do the point totals from the regional conference carry over to the national competition, or do all of the contestants start over?
A. The point totals do carry over to the national competition. This is a year-long competition.
Q. If I didn’t win at the regional conference, or even compete, do I have a chance to win at the National Convention?
A. First, I would say that the experience is worthwhile, whether you win or not.
Second, each person receives 100 points ONCE for reviewing the modules from Miller Heiman. Thus, you can still score that many points by registering and reviewing the material.
Third, the current point range of regional participants is from 150 to 178, with 158 being the median score. As you will see below, you have lots of opportunities to make up those missing points.
Fourth, last year, people who did not participate in the regional conference took three of the top five spots in the 2009 national competition. A win at the regional conference does not guarantee a win at the national competition.
Q. What if I don’t get enough points to score in the top five at the national competition, but my presentation is the best overall? Do I win anything?
A. Yes, Miller Heiman is going to provide the top performer on April 9th with a certification package worth >$1500. This is definitely a resume filler! Keep in mind that the top performer could also be in the top five point totals as well, but not necessarily.
Q. If I miss the deadline dates, will I still have a chance to win?
A. If you miss the deadline dates, you will not get any points for that activity. This is one way that some people will lose their edge from the regional conference participation.

This is an incredible resume builder and a prize that carries a tuition value of >$1500.
