17 WAYS to STAY CONNECTED to Pi Sigma Epsilon

Staying connected to Pi Sigma Epsilon is easy as 1, 2, 3. Listed below are 17 ways to join in, catch up, give back and get involved with your fraternity. There is something for everyone, and here’s how to get started. Pick one!

1 RECRUIT PROSPECTIVE PSE MEMBERS AND CHAPTERS…Everyone knows college age students. Share with them the experiences you had in PSE. If they have a chapter on their campus, encourage them to join. If they would like to start a new chapter or you would like to help us start a new chapter in your area, email Anjuli.Graunke@pse.org.

2 SHARE YOUR NEWS…Each issue of the Dotted Lines carries news of our alumni. Email us your news and we will print it in the next issue. The Dotted Lines is sent in January, May/June, and September. We would also welcome educational articles for the newsletter or words of advice for life or career.

3 JOIN PSE CIRCLE…The social networking site exclusively for PSE members! It’s FREE and it’s easy to join. Go to www.pse.org, click on PSE Circle towards the bottom of the left hand tool bar and follow the instructions. You would be surprised as to how many alumni are in the PSE Circle. You can even get a PSE.com email address.

4 BUY A MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY…If you missed your opportunity to purchase the 2007 PSE Membership Directory, you can still get one. Email Ann.Devine@pse.org and order yours today.

5 UPDATE YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION….Simply go to www.pse.org and click on “Edit your contact info” on the left hand tool bar. You will need to login, so if you don’t remember your login information, contact tracy.mccarthy@pse.org. She will email it to you.

6 WEAR PSE APPAREL OR DISPLAY A CAR STATIC….PSE items are for sale on the PSE website. At the very bottom of the left hand tool bar, click on PSE Gear. New items are added all the time. Let us know if you have an item that you think we should sell.

7 HIRE A PSE GRADUATE…You know what great experience PSE students receive in their chapters. Why not post your job on the PSE website? For more information, contact Ann.Devine@pse.org.

8 NOMINATE FELLOW ALUMNI FOR AWARDS…Each year at the PSE National Convention, PSE honors several of our distinguished alumni into the Alumni Hall of Fame. To nominate an alumnus, email Ann.Devine@pse.org.

9 NETWORK WITH OTHER PROFESSIONALS AT THE PSE NATIONALCONVENTION….Not just a reunion of PSE members, but a true networking opportunity awaits you at the PSE National Convention. There will be several alumni opportunities for you including workshops for working professionals, NCSM, and the alumni suite. AND…we are looking for dealers for the Texas Hold’em Night. Contact Ann.Devine@pse.org if you want more information.

10 MENTOR A STUDENT TO COMPETE IN THE PRO-AM SELL-A-THON….At all six regional conferences and the PSE National Convention, you have the opportunity to coach or coach and judge students in the Pro-Am Sell-a-Thon. Not going to a regional or national convention, how about MENTORING a student that wants to compete in this sales competition? By giving of your time throughout the year, you can train a winner! This can easily be accomplished through phone calls between you and your student! To get connected to a student, email Ann.Devine@pse.org.

11 MENTOR A STUDENT TO COMPETE IN THE SPEAKERS COMPETITION… Students prepare a 4 to 6 minute speech for this competition. By giving of your time before the fall regional conferences, you can mentor a winner! This can easily be accomplished through phone calls between you and your student! To get connected to a student, email Ann.Devine@pse.org.

12 MENTOR A CHAPTER OR STUDENT TO COMPETE IN OTHER PSE NATIONAL AWARDS…Our chapters would welcome feedback to the presentations that they will be making to professionals at the National Convention Awards competition. You may have only to give up one night or weekend day of your time. To get connected to a chapter, email Lorice.Ratas@pse.org.

13 BE AN AWARDS JUDGE…Never leave home and judge the PSE chapters’ written entries. To sign up as a judge, go to the home page of the PSE website (www.pse.org). On the right hand side of the home page is a link to a sign up sheet. Please fill this out and the Awards Chair will contact you. Questions? Email Robb.Carlson@gmail.com

14 BE ON THE SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE… 64 students applied for the 16 scholarships awarded at the 2007 National Convention. This year, we expect even more applications. The scholarship co-chairs would welcome your involvement on the committee, even if you do not plan on attending the National Convention. Contact Jon Salvani (jsalvani@niu.edu) or Brandon Kelly (bkelly4@lsu.edu), Scholarship Co-Chairs with your interest to help.

15 MAKE A GIFT…Donations to the PSE National Educational Foundation are tax deductible and used for scholarships to deserving students. To make a donation, go to www.pse.org, click on the National Educational Foundation tool bar and then click on Donations.

16 SEE IF YOUR EMPLOYER OFFERS A MATCHING GIFT…If you do make a donation, please see if your employer matches your gift. We would be happy to fill out information that your employer would send.

For more information, go to www.pse.org, click on the Foundation tool bar and then click on Legacy Club. If you would like a Legacy Club brochure, please email Ann.Devine@pse.org.
