MKT Scholarship
2007-2008 Scholarship
Mu Kappa Tau encourages and recognizes outstanding academic excellence
in the field of Marketing. As such, there is an academic scholarship
available to Mu Kappa Tau Members to attend undergraduate or
graduate programs. There is one GM Naidu Scholarship for $500
and one $1500 Scholarship sponsored by Mu Kappa Tau and awarded
to Mu Kappa Tau students.
Scholarship Requirements
- All Candidates must be members of Mu Kappa Tau
- The scholarship funds will be released after the recipient provides
proof of enrollment.
Application
- The Scholarships will be awarded each spring. Scholarship
applications must be received at MKT National Headquarters,
3747 S Howell Ave.; Milwaukee, WI 53207. All applications
should be received no later than 5:00 p.m. (Central Standard
Time), Friday, February 1, 2008.
General Administrative Requirements
- All applications should be submitted with or without binders
on 8 1/2" X 11" paper. Transcript materials should be
on 8 1/2" X 11" paper if possible, however, you are
not required to photo reduce. The most important element is clarity,
not size.
- Submit six (6) copies of the complete, collated and stapled
application.
Application Procedures
- The candidate must prepare a two (2) page (maximum) outline
of his/her qualifications, including the following data:
- Overall and major GPA
- Major or intended field of study
- Current class standing
- Rank within current class
- School-related activities and accomplishments
- Community related activities and accomplishments
- Education goals
- Sources of education financing
- Other pertinent data
- The candidate is required to submit one letter of recommendation
and support. The letter is restricted to one page in length.
- The candidate must submit copies of official transcripts from
all educational institutions attended to date. Certified transcripts
are not required.
- The maximum number of pages in the basic scholarship application
is four (4) plus transcripts.
