Membership
Eligibility Requirements
Mu Kappa Tau's membership is limited to students, majoring in marketing,
who meet exceptional academic requirements. Membership is extended
only to the following students, all of whom must have an overall
cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 on a 4.00 scale.
- Juniors ranking in the top 10% of their class
- Seniors and graduate students ranking in the top 20% of their
class
- Graduate students having completed 50% of their MS/MBA requirements
- Doctoral candidates completing their coursework

Membership Fee
Mu Kappa Tau is a non-profit organization requiring a one-time
membership fee. The $40.00 fee entitles members to life membership
in Mu Kappa Tau and all the benefits and privileges thereof.
How to Join Mu Kappa Tau
If you meet the above eligibility
requirements of Mu Kappa Tau, we invite you to join us. To do so,
you need to have a faculty member at either a chartered school or
at a participating school nominate you.

Starting a chapter
If your school does not have an active chapter or is not a participating
school, you may want to start a chapter. To do so, follow the
simple instructions on the Chapter
Chartering Checklist, or email Anjuli
Graunke, Mu Kappa Tau Manager, for more information and
to receive all the necessary forms to start a chapter.
Initiation
Individuals accepting the invitation to membership in an
active campus chapter of Mu Kappa Tau will be officially installed
as members through an Initiation Ceremony conducted by the chapter.
Individuals invited to membership through an individual affiliation
at participating schools will become official members of the National
chapter of Mu Kappa Tau.
All nominated individuals are welcome to participate in the national
Initiation Ceremony conducted in conjunction with the Mu Kappa Tau
Annual Business Meeting. This takes place at the 2005 PSE National
