For Parents
Whether your son or daughter has recently become a member of PSE or you are eager to learn more about our professional fraternity, you can be assured that in PSE they will find opportunities for leadership development and community service, support to excel in their studies, and lifelong friends. Throughout their collegiate membership, we hope they will create some of the most remarkable memories of their life!
The PSE Experience:
The fellowship, academic support, experiential learning and personal growth our members find in Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE) make all the difference in their personal and professional success. We call that transformative impact the PSE Experience. Here are some of the things that the members of PSE can expect:

Support Through the PSE Network:
Selling Skills Are Life Skills:
Even if your student does not intend to go into a selling role when they graduate, it is highly likely that they will need to have these skills to effectively navigate the job interview process, learning to sell themselves, their ideas and qualifications. Further, every professional role from entry-level up to management and the C-suite requires mastery of fundamental communications skills. Selling skills are the mastery of fundamental communications skills.

Setting Your Student Up For Success in Career and in Life:
As members of PSE, students gain business acumen, learn the vernacular of business, and acquire real-world experience that prepares them to lead in their future careers. Employers have noted that PSE graduates stand out among their peers, are more confident, productive in their early career roles, and tend to stay with their employers longer. These attributes lead to improved performance, reduced costs for employers, and accelerated earnings and advancement for PSE graduates.
Ultimately, PSE equips students with life skills that ensure career success, regardless of the profession they choose. By joining PSE, your student will gain invaluable experiences, skills, and opportunities that will set them apart and prepare them for a successful future.
PSE stands apart from other organizations due to its distinct blend of these features, preparing its student members for successful careers in sales, marketing and beyond. Joining PSE is an investment in a student’s future, offering lifelong benefits and a strong professional network.
How Parents and Family Members Can Help:
Encourage your student to join PSE and get involved immediately! The sooner they engage, the more value they will derive from PSE membership (students can join as early as their first semester on campus!).
They might need a little help with membership fees; while PSE’s fee structure is one of the lowest across national professional organizations, sometimes students need assistance.
Help them get to PSE professional events so they can see first-hand what success looks like! Encourage your student to fully engage by signing up to compete, connecting with employers, and diving into educational sessions that will set them on a path to success. (Purchase an event registration as a birthday or Christmas gift, perhaps?)
